Katavi Wildlife camp is set back in amongst the bush on the edge of
Chada flood plains. The camp is relatively small, with just 8 walk-in
tents, all on wooden platforms which stretch out for a few meters in
front allowing you to have your own private veranda to sit and admire
the view of the plains. |

The tents are modestly furnished and with sturdy beds and tables and a
few mkeka mats and a couple of chairs. The camp is owned by Foxes
Safaris who have various camps and lodges all over Tanzania. The camp
will be small and select with personalized hosting and guiding by an
experienced professional guide. |

Accommodation at Katavi Wilderness Camp consists of large, luxurious
safari tents, that are well camouflaged in the prime game viewing area.
Katavi Wildlife Camp is very exclusive with only six tents luxurious in
size and furnishings and cunningly set back in amongst the trees that
line the floodplain, providing both shade and camouflage. |

Katavi National Park one of the Western
Tanzania Safari is remote and wild, a destination for the true
safari . Katavi National Park situated in Mpanda district, the Park
cover an area of 4471 kmē, Together with the neighboring Rukwa,
Lukwati and Luafi Game Reserves and numerous forest reserves, this
ecosystem of 25 000 kmē is the heart of one of the biggest and
richest wildlife areas in Tanzania.
The park's main features are the watery grass plains to the north,
the palm-fringed lake Chada in the southeast and the Katuma River.
Katavi boasts Tanzania's greatest populations of both crocodile and
hippopotamus. Lion and leopard find prey among the huge populations
of herbivores at Katavi - impala, eland, topi, zebra and herds of up
to 1600 buffalo wander the short grass plains.
