The tented Lodge, situated in the boundary of the reserve, is environmentally friendly and each tent/ Banda is equipped with private bathroom and a veranda facing the river. The water is usually full of hundreds of hippos as well as groups of crocodiles that laze in the sun on the sandbanks in the river if you get close to the river. A structure in the central part of the camp hosts the restaurant, small bush bar all with a view of the river and the sunset. All of the camp structures, kitchen included, are constantly renovated, attaining the minimum level of comfort without sacrificing the emotion of a total immersion in a completely natural environment. Electricity and hot water are powered by generator, but this is not guaranteed as some times cool water can be provided. Ngima Tented Lodge is operated by Local Tanzania Family and the camp management very much look forward to welcoming you at Ngima Tented Lodge. Accommodation. Ngima Tented Lodge have only four tent / bandas facing the sunset, with comfortable beds, walled en-suite facilities, mosquito netting and all of the comfortable equipment of a lodge. Each tent has a private veranda under a roof of local straw (makuti) that creates the perfect place for reading, writing or just resting in the shade. Activities. At Ngima Tented Lodge include river boat safaris, game drives and guided walks. Boat safaris explore the nearby lakes, whilst game drives can venture further. Whole-day drives are often possible, and you'll take with you a picnic for a leisurely lunch in the bush. The nearby forest is best explored on foot; your guide will lead you along shady paths in search of blue samango and black-and-white colobus.
