Kikoboga
Tented Camp in Mikumi, is a
well-established and comfortable hideaway in Mikumi
National Park where you can enjoy spectacular wild
animals and abundant birdlife.
 The
park is a centrally located and is cushioned by the
blue mountains and forested hills. Framed by this
landscape, the sunsets at Kikoboga Tented Camp in
Mikumi are often
dramatic and a photographer's delight. This lodge is
situated near the main entrance of Mikumi National
Park, the third largest park in Tanzania.

Kikoboga Tented Camp in Mikumi has stone-built African cottages and bandas.
Rooms are spacious with large beds, armchairs, fans,
writing desks and big curved verandahs overlooking
the plains. All rooms have an attached bathroom with
flushing lavatory, basin and shower. There are
family cottage bandas, which can accommodate 6 to 8
people.
The stone built African bandas are located near the
waterholes that attract large amounts of wildlife at
a single point. Elephants, buffalo, wildebeest,
baboons, warthog, impala, giraffes, zebra, eland and
lions have all been spotted in the area
Kikoboga Tented Camp Facilities and Activities.
Meals at Kikoboga Tented Camp in Mikumi are held in a raised rondaval
style banda or under the stars on its encircling
terrace; there is also a barbeque area and a
sheltered boma with open fire. The raised banda is
an ideal viewing platform, perfect for watching game
over a leisurely brunch. The bar is constructed
around the trunk of a huge indigenous shaded tree,
just the place for a sundowner after a long day on
the plains.
Most guests enjoy twice daily game drives but for
the less adventurous, Kikoboga Tented Camp in Mikumi04/11/2011 is a relaxing place
where you can just sit on your verandah, at the bar,
pool or dining area and watch the animals at the
water hole. There are specialized day wildlife
watching and game driving safaris in Mikumi National
Park as well as ornithological safaris and hippo
watching safaris.
