Ngorongoro Wildlife lodge is a property of Hotels &
Lodges (T) Ltd .which was formed few years ago to
acquire the former Tanzania Hotels (TAHI), 4 prestigious
properties in the Northern Tanzanian Safari Circuit:

The Crater Wildlife.
Ngorongoro Crater is also presently one of the most
likely areas in Tanzania to see the endangered Black
Rhino, as a small population are thriving in this
idyllic and protected environment one of the only areas
where they continue to breed in the wild. The crater
protects a microcosm of East African wildlife within its
boundaries, said to be the most densely packed wildlife
concentration in Africa. As such, Ngorongoro Crater has
achieved world renown, and attracts a growing number of
visitors each year. Even if time is limited this natural
but accessibly small caldera ensures a rewarding safari.
Unique and diverse, inside the famous Ngorongoro Crater
a tardis-like effect takes place, as it is surprisingly
small once inside! Most people find that one day is
quite sufficient to enjoy the place. Its size compared
to the vast expanse of the Serengeti means that you may
see many other vehicles.

Situated on the rim of an ancient collapsed
volcano, this lodge offers guests uninterrupted
views of the Ngorongoro crater, a true remaining
natural wonder. The most unique eco system on
earth is home to over 20 000 large grazing
animals, boasting the largest concentration of
predators found on the planet. Ngorongoro crater
is the largest of 9 volcanoes in this
conservation area, Oldonyo Lengai being the only
one still active. The conservation area is 8300
km squared with the crater itself having an
average diameter of 23 km. The crater covers an
area of 250 km squared and has an average depth
of 600m. There are many activities available
from the surrounding area which enhances
knowledge historically, geographically and
culturally.
Accommodations.
Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge
has 75 spacious guestrooms, all of them
affording fabulous views over the crater.
Exquisitely decorated, offering a serene
atmosphere of elegancy, the rooms are fully
equipped with en-suite bathrooms, shower
attachments, bathtub and central heating system.
All the beds are provided with mosquito nets
over the air vents.
A third bed is available on request, as well as
limited baby cots. Among the 75 rooms, 61 are
twin rooms, 11 are double (with one double bed)
and 2 are suites. 10 rooms are
intercommunicating, specially designed for
families. Moreover, there is a presidential
suite, where important world well – known
personalities have enjoyed the magical
experience of wildlife from the top location

Ngorongoro Conservation Area
The Ngorongoro
Conservation area borders the Serengeti in northern Tanzania and
includes the world's largest crater which acts as a natural
enclosure for almost every species of wildlife found in East Africa.
This includes the very rare black rhino. The Ngorongoro Crater is
where you'll witness some of the densest population of wildlife in
the world and it's a truly amazing place for photographers. The
Maasai still live within the conservation area, and it's also home
to Olduvai where some of man's earliest remains have been found |
