KIRURUMU TENTED LODGE

           

Kirurumu Tented Camp, on the edge of Lk.Manyara , taking its name from a Bantu word meaning echoing waters, describing the sound of the river running nearby. This is a luxury tented lodge built upon the Gregorian Escarpment of the Great Rift Valley right on the edge of the Great Rift Valley a drive of about twenty minutes from the park gate. The camp is a tented safari lodge with stunning views a short distance from the lake. Kirurumu is built Its position outside the Park means that it is free from Park rules, and the lodge specializes in botanical walks through the surrounding bush with Maasai guides to describe the medicinal uses of plants. Kirurumu Tented Lodge is set in this stunning location, it overlooks a spectacular panorama across Lake Manyara to Mount Losimongori and miles of seemingly untouched Africa.

Accommodation
 The tents have plenty of room with a good sized veranda and a couple of chairs in front of each. Bathrooms are en-suite within the main tent with good showers and flush toilets. All tents at Kirurumu have good views off the edge of the rift escarpment, with Lk.Manyara little off to the South (so not visible from all). Wonderfully hot and powerful showers with solar-heated spring water in every tent make it hard to fault. The honeymoon suites at Kirurumu are quite dramatically located with views straight down the river gorge as it comes out of the face of the escarpment

Facilities
 The open-sided dining room and naturally sanded wood and rock-enclosed bar also make the most of the location.
