Park.
Superior safari lodge & wildlife sanctuary set between the
peaks of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. The sanctuary provides a
safe haven to animal and birdlife, as well as offering refuge to
orphaned and injured animals while preparing them for their return
to the wild. Wildlife found here includes eland, ostriches,
waterbuck, zebra, buffalo, small wild cats and an enormous variety
of birdlife. Explore the surrounding area, including taking part in
cultural and educational visits to local villages and farms, as well
as sightseeing tours to some of the natural forests and scenic
spots. Walks are offered free of charge and longer safaris and
excursions can also be arranged, such as game drives at Lake Manyara
and Tarangire National Park or even a camel safari. A variety of
beauty treatments is also available all in the comfort of the lodge.

Mt. Kilimanjaro
and Mt. Meru, Mount Meru Game Lodge and Sanctuary was created in
1959 to provide an intimate lodge for discerning lovers of wildlife
and nature. The lodge is located within 33 acres of mature, well
manicured gardens between the tranquil waters of the Usa River and
the Animal Sanctuary.
The lodge comprises 15 double or twin en-suite bedrooms and 2
suites. All rooms have a veranda with comfortable chairs where
guests may sit during the late afternoons enjoying the peace of the
surroundings, soaking up the unique atmosphere of the lodge and
watching the animals and birdlife. The suites are located in their
own private garden and are ideal also for families and small groups
to whom privacy is very important.
The fine dining room provides a perfect setting for a relaxing meal,
prepared and served by attentive yet very discreet staff. The bar is
well stocked with a wide selection of spirits, beers and minerals.
These are complemented by a carefully selected collection of fine
wines. Mount Meru Game Lodge and Sanctuary also offers guided walks
in the nearby villages and forests. |
