Dolphin  Zanzibar

South Coast Zanzibar is the number one place in the country to see and swim with dolphins, however, there are also small fishing villages to explore, other wildlife to see and even a national park which is abundant in exotic fauna and flora. It may not have the same party vibe as the North Coast but it’s certainly worth a visit.

Several bottlenose pods (of up to 150 individuals) stay at Kizimkazi all year-round. There are about 50, rather more shy humpback dolphins who put in an appearance here, although their schedule is a little more erratic.

This is the only Tour and place you can swim very close to them and the bottlenose dolphin kind are the very famous here. This Zanzibar Dolphin type are very funny and friendly that they allow you enjoy short time with them in the wild specially when settled and it is not something to miss while in your Zanzibar Holiday Tour.

Once you’ve seen the dolphins and other wildlife you might like to take a trip to Unguja Ukuu to see the ruins of an ancient town, an insight into the history of this beautiful region.

The Dolphin Tour is recommended done in the earliest hours before it is hot, swim with dolphins and snorkel on the way back to the shore. This can be done together with the Jozani Forest where you may be lucky enough to spot red colobus monkeys. Here you’ll also find the Jozani– Chwaka Bay National Park, a nature reserve which is home to a variety of species such as monkeys, chameleons and a number of bird species.

Enjoy boat tour of Menai Bay for the chance to spot wild dolphins or just spend time chilling out on the beautiful beaches of Kizimkazi or the less touristy Fumba Peninsula
