Elephant Bedroom
Elephant Bedroom Camp is an
intimate and luxurious tented camp set among indigenous
doum palms and is located on the banks of the Ewaso
Ngiro river inside Samburu game reserve in North central
Kenya.
The resident elephants wander through the camp daily,
and give not only the camp's name, but add to the unique
atmosphere. The rustic African-style lounge and dining
tent are vibrant, exclusive and capture a sense of 1940s
Africa in its design.
Explore this beautiful national reserve with a guided
nature walk where you'll enjoy a breakfast in the middle
of the bush. In the early morning and late afternoon you
can set out on a game drive, which captures a real sense
of the landscape and its wildlife - including regular
leopard sightings.
Elephant Bedroom Camp has a close relationship with
local Samburu moran warriors; don't miss out on one of
their entertaining cultural dances.
Accommodation
Elephant Bedroom Camp offers only 12 tents, all of which
are incredibly spacious and luxurious. 4 are fitted with
king-size beds and 8 with queen-sized.
Each tent is furnished in a rustic African style while
offering all the luxury comforts expected, including hot
and cold running water, electricity and herbal bath
products.
Elephant Bedroom Camp has a
spacious dining & lounge tent with large veranda to
maximize views. Breakfast and lunch are served al fresco
on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River under the shade of
the trees (weather permitting).
