About Base
Camp.
Base Camp Masai Mara is one
among the camps and lodges in the Masai Mara -the jewel
of Africa wildlife areas, only 45 minutes by air or 5
hours by road away from Nairobi.
Particularly designed for adventurers, nature lovers,
hobby naturalists and photographers, the camp has
developed a site in the area, which provides you with
optimal chances of experiencing the magic of the Masai
Mara.
Positioned at the banks of the Talek River, this Award
Winning Camp gets you as close to nature as you can get.
Ecotourism
This is a place where, together with the Maasai, Base
camp help to protect through ecological operation -such
as the use of dry toilets, recycling of waste, solar
energy and similar methods -as well as through
substantial support for important community projects.
Accommodation:
The camp has 15 Spacious Tents each with:
- Double / Twin Beds
- Private Bathroom with a Hot Water Shower
- Own Veranda
- A Hammock
- Sitting Area
The tents are mounted on fixed structures and covered by
thatched roofs
The camp has private & peaceful feeling and each guest
gets personal service.
The camp is activity based and is well equipped with
eco-friendly facilities:
